Our Practice Areas

Child Support

At Larose Law, we start child support orders as part of a divorce. We also get changes to all existing child support orders, called "modifications." We also get child support orders as part of paternity actions, or as part of domestic violence actions.

A computer program generally calculates what child support will be in California. The skill is to make sure the correct data goes into that computer program. And, then, making arguments, when needed, against the computer projections.

Seeking court orders on visitation may also need to be done to ensure the right levels of child support.

We will run preliminary child support calculations for you at your initial consultation.

Spousal Support

We start spousal support orders as part of a divorce. We also get changes to existing spousal support orders, called "modifications." We also get spousal support orders as part of domestic violence actions.

As a divorce begins to get to its final stages, we negotiate long-term spousal support agreements. If no agreement can be reached, we will take the issue to trial, and a judge will decide what "long-term" spousal support may be. Changing a "long-term" spousal support order can be complicated, but we take care of that as well.

We will run preliminary spousal support calculations for you at your initial consultation.

Many clients visit us months before taking any legal steps whatsoever. They simply want to know their rights, and to plan, before making any final decisions.
